Eagan Legion Ends Run At Gopher Classic
The Patriots, which hosted the pool play round, finished the tournament 3-2 overall record
The Eagan American Legion baseball team finished up play at the Gopher Classic on Sunday.
The Patriots, which hosted the pool in Eagan, finished the three-day preliminary round with a 3-2 record and placed second in the pool. Fergus Falls won the pool and advanced to Monday’s round of 16.
Eagan opened up play on Friday with a pair of victories, beating Kenosha, WI, 13-1 before topping Grand Forks, ND, 8-1.

But on Saturday, the Patriots fell twice to even its record at 2-2. Fergus Falls beat Eagan 12-7 to begin the day, and then Eagan fell 6-5 to Hopkins. The Patriots finished the tournament with a 12-6 win over the Rochester Patriots.
