Editor's Note: The following is a press release from Eagan High School.

The Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) is teaming up with the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund this September to Tackle Cancer.

Cancer is a disease that has impacted all communities throughout Minnesota, including most Minnesota families and many football teams. The MFCA challenges every high school football team across the state to sponsor at least one "Tackle Cancer" night during the month of September, to raise funds for cancer research and community support.

The Eagan Wildcat Football Team has selected September 14th as the home game this fall to promote as a "Tackle Cancer" night in our community. Partnering with the Eagan chapter of High Schools Against Cancer this game has been designated as a PINK OUT!

Pink bandanas will be available for sale after school Friday September 14th as well as at the game. Proceeds from the bandana sales will be combined with HAC ribbon sales and funds collected from fans at half time. 100% of these funds will be donated to the “Tackle Cancer” effort.

We hope to see you and your entire family at this fun and important community event! For more information email Kathleen.hook@district196.org.
