Sectional championships and berths to the State Class AA Soccer Tournament are up for grabs in back-to-back girls and boys matchups between South Suburban Conference rivals Eastview and Eagan.
THE LAYOUT
Soccer fans from Eastview and Eagan will all be making the trek across the Wakota Bridge to Cottage Grove on Tuesday as the Lightning and Wildcats both do battle for both girls and boys Section 3AA championships.
First up, plays No. 2 Eastview in the girls sectional championship game at 5 p.m. The Wildcats defeated the Lightning 1-0 in a regular-season meeting on Sept. 15.
Next, the tables are turned as it is No. 1 Eastview plays at approximately 7:30 p.m. The Lightning topped the Wildcats 1-0 on Sept. 15 in South Suburban play.
WHO WILL WIN:
These teams split their back-to-back matchups last time and there’s no reason reason not to expect the same this time. Each school will get its share of state honors as the Eastview boys and Eagan girls triumph on Tuesday.
