Sports Roundup: Girls Hockey Improves to 14-3

Boys Basketball

Shea Mandli led the boys basketball team to a 52-44 win over Burnsville on Jan. 10. Mandli scored 20 points, followed up by Ryan Johnson and Nick Sabatke, who each scored 11 points. On Thursday, Lakeville North turned the tables on the Wildcats 79-65. On Tuesday, the Wildcats will square off against Apple Valley.

The Wildcats moved to a 3-10 record this year after losing against Burnsville on Tuesday and Lakeville North on Friday. Jess Hart and Tamira McLemore scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, in Eagan's 58-50 loss against Burnsville.

Boys Hockey

The boys hockey team picked up two more wins this week against Bloomington Jefferson and Burnsville. Will Merchant, Eli May, Cullen Willox, Michael Zajac and Josh Loew all contributed a goal apiece to Eagan's 5-2 win over Jefferson. Zach Glienke notched a hat-trick against Burnsville, leading Eagan to a decisive, 8-2 victory.

Girls Hockey

The Eagan girls hockey team split its games last week, losing against Bloomington Jefferson 2-1 on Tuesday, before winning 4-2 against Burnsville. The team's record stands at 14-3 so far this season. This Tuesday, Eagan will take on Prior Lake, and on Saturday the girls team will play Lakeville South.
