The spring sports campaign pushed closer to its conclusion as teams from Eagan High School continued to jostle for preferred sectional seeding.

Boys Lacrosse: Eagan Splits Friday, Monday Matchups

The Eagan boys lacrosse team splits its respective Friday and Monday South Suburban Conference matchups against Eastview (12-9 loss) and Rosemount (15-12 win) to bring its record to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in circuit play.

The Wildcats were the first team this season to defeat Rosemount, as the victory pulled Eagan into third place in the South Suburban, one-half game behind the Irish and one game behind league-leading Eastview.

Connor Simpson leads the Wildcats with 28 points this spring, with Cullen Willox and Dan Bausman both posting 23 points thus far. Goaltender Lucas Petersen currently has a .631 save percentage, with Jacob Westrum at .582.

Girls Lacrosse: Wild Irish 17, Rochester Century 3

The Eagan/Rosemount girls lacrosse team improved to 4-4 this season with a 17-3 throttling of Rochester Century at Rosemount High School on Monday.

Simone Haugen led the Wild Irish with eight goald, while Lisa Crow scored twice.

Softball: Wildcats Fourth In Eastview Tournament

Before losing, 7-6, to Prior Lake on Tuesday, the Eagan softball team finished fourth in the Eastview Tournament on Saturday in Apple Valley.

The Wildcats opened tourney play with a 10-3 defeat of Winona Cotter, then fell 4-3 to Park in the semifinals and 9-1 to Maple Grove in the third-place game.

Individual statistics were not available. The four-game span left Eagan's record at 8-7 overall and 5-5 in the conference.

Baseball: Bloomington Kennedy 5, Eagan 4

A 5-4 loss at Bloomington Kennedy on Monday dropped the Eagan baseball team to 10-6 overall and 7-6 in the South Suburban.

Individual statistics were not made available. The Wildcats currently sit fifth in the conference standings, one game behind Apple Valley and Lakeville North.

Track And Field: Eagan Boys, Girls Second In True Team Sectional

Eagan hosted the sectional True Team track and field meet on Tuesday, with the boys and girls both finishing second to Stillwater in their respective competitions.

The Wildcats boys recorded 756.5 points to the Ponies 878, while the girls were narrowly outpaced by Stillwater, 745.5-736. Individual results were not available.

Boys Tennis: Eagan 6, Lakeville North 1

The Eagan boys tennis team defeated Lakeville North, 6-1, on Tuesday. Individual scores were not available.

Scores were not available from the Wildcats' scheduled appearance in the Andover Tournament on Saturday.

Boys Golf: Wildcats Sixth At Bracketts Crossing

A score of 315 over 18 holes at Bracketts Crossing earned the Eagan boys golf team a sixth-place finish in its South Suburban meet on Tuesday. Individual results were not available.
