Parkview Development Back on the Docket at City Hall

On Tuesday, the council will hold a public hearing concerning Dakota Path, a housing development planned to go up on the site of the Parkview Golf Club.

A controversial development project will once again come before the Eagan City Council.

Tuesday night, the council will hold a public hearing regarding Dakota Path, a single family residential development by D.R. Horton which will go up on the site of the Parkview Golf Club. The council approved the project in early May, in spite of ample opposition from neighbors and six hours of heated discussion.

This time, the matter comes before the council again only to settle a bit of real estate minutiae. The developer is asking the city to vacate of all public drainage and utility easements in the existing plat. Doing so will allow the develop to redraw the property lines to the specifications needed for the 170-unit housing development.  The meeting begins at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at City Hall.

Also this week:
• School starts for both the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District and District 196. Class will be in session for all but a handful of students as of today, Sept. 3.
